Scott Laslo and his wife (Jamie) started Ornaments 4 Orphans out of love for Christmas, ornaments, and a passion for helping others. They took a trip to Uganda on a college missions trip; the poverty and lack of development struck them as did the people who just wanted a chance to work and provide for their families. They came back to the states and started a non-profit to help a small orphanage and school, and out of that, they began Ornaments 4 Orphans®. Ornaments 4 Orphans® is a fair trade, social business that sells handmade products purchased fairly in developing countries. All proceeds are invested back into the communities to provide jobs, prevent orphans and keep vulnerable children with their families. Through fair trade practices, Ornaments 4 Orphans works to fight poverty and encourage sustainability in Africa (Kenya and Uganda), South America (Peru) and Asia (Nepal). Your purchase of Ornaments 4 Orphans® products, helps make a real difference in someone’s life across the world. At Ornaments 4 Orphans®, the hope is to make the world a brighter place, one fair trade ornament at a time.
