This Lava Vase is a collaborative piece, hand-thrown on a pottery wheel by one ceramicist (Gabriel Hidalgo), then glazed and fired by another (Corina Bilandzija), in a private ceramic studio in the hills of Valley Center, California. Each piece helps celebrate the talents of two ceramicists in San Diego County. This specific piece is glazed to mirror the textures of volcanic lava; hence its very name. A rare gem for all pottery collectors!
Note that this piece is intentionally asymmetrical in design. Not one piece is exactly identical to another.
